As the winter months slowly start fade away in Oxford, so do many winter styles. Yet, a few will remain for spring 2015. Here to stay are: bold lip, high half up hair-do, over the knee boots & velvet.
Yes, it's January and I am wearing a skirt. Luckily, it is 60 degrees here in the quaint college town of Ole Miss.
Today, I decided to go with a collaboration of effortless style featuring gold & black embellishments.
I have always been quite obsessed with leather, so today I actually am wearing leather and acessoring with it too. My leather backpack by Forever 21 sets the perfect spring back-to-school statement. This leather and gold embellished backpack is also a immaculate travel piece.
The key word to this sleek, playful look is to accessorize.
How can we forget about over the knee leather boots this season? They are the perfect finishing, statement piece to any outfit paired with shorts, skirts and skorts. Over the knee boots accentuate any leg type. They are known to legthen your legs and we all know that is always a great trait to obtain.

Trending this coming season is still a bold plum lip & some velvet below the waistline. Velvet skirts & high-waisted pants are still taking the fashion world by storm. Don't forget to accessorize with a pair of glasses if you are craving a little more "flair" to your look. My #ootd is can easily go from a school day to a night out. Switch out the skirt for some black leggings or throw some tights underneath & there you have it school ready.

I gave my my sleek leather look a little more prep with my Ann Taylor LOFT striped & gold embellished sweater. I loved the detail on the sweater's shoulders. It is really what gave me inspo for this post!
My favorite thing about this outfit had to be the hair & necklace. Loving the hair on top of your head look, whether it is with a top knot or just a simple pony. It keeps the look looking effortless yet chic.
DESIGNER SHOUTOUT: One of my bestfriends, Macy Bales made this super trendy double-wrap necklace with a horn. Check out her Macy's Pintrest on how to get your own!
