Transitioning your Apt/Home to Fall
The beginning of fall means it’s officially time to turn over a new leaf in your home or apartment. Besides the changing of the leaves and delicious pumpkin spiced latés that the season brings, changing up the décor in your humble abode will give it a fresh, new face.
One of the best parts of the fall is embracing the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes your space cozy enough for the upcoming hibernation season. Here are a few suggestions on how to bring the colors of the turning leaves, as well as foliage inspired patterns to your bedroom!

Opt for thicker fabrics //
Swap out your lightweight fabrics for textiles like wool, cashmere, and velvet. These thicker textures will instantly make your space feel cozy and comfy, even if you opt to do them in bold colors. For furniture, consider making a slip cover!
Warm up summer prints //
If you are looking to hang on to a few of your favorite summer pieces, go for it! Simply warm them up with foliage-inspired colors like rusty orange, or red and brown hues.
Flaunt your fireplace //
There's nothing I love more than cozying up to the fire with a cup of hot-coca and a good book during the fall. Create an inviting space and add wallpaper above the mantel, even if your fireplace doesn't work.
When there's fall, there's pumpkins. To create an essence of what the season really is, create a pumpkin centerpiece, or a side table ornament in your home. Plus, you can show your visitors how festive you are!
Seasonal Scents //
If you enjoy the scents of fall, but aren't up to par in the kitchen, fill your home or apartment with scents such as apple, pumpkin, cranberry, pecan , campfire smoke, pine needles and fall leaves. So exchange your fruity scents of the summer for the trademark aromas of the season!
Clean house //
Spring cleaning isn't the only time you should be cleaning this year! It's always a good idea to deep clean your space before you settle onto your couch and hibernate for the rest of the season. So, make sure to clean out those cobwebs guys and gals!
